As the War of 1812 bicentennial approaches a number of historical sites and individuals have become interested in commemorating the events leading up to and during the War of 1812. There is no state legislation recognizing the bicentennial and no state organization is overseeing or assisting with the commemorations.

Though budgets and staff are limited : there is an ernest effort to tell the story. A number of events are being planned from symposiums, to lectures at various sites: from historical displays to full blown living history events.  This web site has been developed to pull together information from the various sites into one location.
